A place not to be missed on a weekend in Taipei is the Jianguo Weekend Flower Market (
You can get flowers, plants, sculptures, fishes, aquarium accessories and even paintings at the artist's corner. We spotted some puppies for adoption too! The further end of the expressway is a Jade market. It tends to get really crowded, but there are so many things to see and you can spend an entire morning here.
We also met Mr Li Zheng Zhong (李政忠) and his Guide dog, Turk again!
We bought his second Mandarin music CD, it is as good as his first one.
Turk hasn't changed much. He is a very good boy.
Let me take you on a short tour of the market:
When we have finished walking the entire market, we headed back to where we parked the car, but it was no where in sight! The parking lots were all full and so Dad had parked along the main road near to the market. Dad and Mom walked up and down the road frantically. Where is the car? We all got really worried and called the car agent. He said that it must have been towed away. Oh no!!!! Then, he told us to check the ground for our car number and a phone number to call.
He was right!
We found them on the ground written in chalk! Phew!
So we called the number and they gave us an address to collect the car.
When we arrived, we saw so many cars there.
They were all towed here by these evil red trucks.
Just as we were walking in, we saw three cars being towed in.
This is one of them.
Dad had to pay a hefty fine for illegal parking.
They placed some blue stickers on the car doors.
Thank goodness, we got our car back. That was one expensive lesson! We will not park illegally ever again!
