Fun Day on Sunday

It was bright and sunny on Sunday and we headed off to my favorite park again!

I can't believe how good the weather was!

I got to meet so many furry friends!

Both big ones and small ones!

Here's Dad giving me a good hair brush after all that playing.

After a good run, Dad wanted to buy some cargo pants and so we went to Vieshow Cinemas for some shopping.

I met Super Cow and Black Cow!!!

It was feeding time for the humans and they had yummy set dinners at LA Cafe where they could dine outdoors with me.

I love Spring time with the lovely weather, I hope it stays that way so that we can have more fun days together.

How I spent the first day of 2009

I was already snoozing before midnight and Dad and Mom sneaked out to the roof top to watch the countdown fireworks exploding from the Taipei 101 Building.

The humans ate and ate non-stop during the holiday season and sadly, I did not get to enjoy their human food, but Mom did not forget to prepare a special meal just for me on New Year's Day!

What's for lunch, Mom?

Lamb, carrots, broccoli and rice!

How long do I have to wait?

Chomp...

Chomp....the bowl was cleaned up in no time!

After a satisfying meal, we went to my favorite dog park.

I got to meet some new friends.

We had a good little chat.

The vet says I am fat and need to lose some weight.

What do you think?

There is a cold wave right now in Taipei and I feel like cuddling up to take a nap, but before I do that, I would like to introduce a new friend, Sephy the Shiba Inu and Shania the Siberian Husky from California. Check out shibashake.com! There are many excellent articles there about the Shiba Inu breed, dog training and problem behaviors. Remember to stop by at their blog (http://shibashake.com/shibainublog) too! I am sure many of you will enjoy reading it as much as I did!

Keep warm, my friends!

Trust the Weatherman

We all woke up late on Saturday, but decided that we should do something that day. Even though the weather forecast said that there was a 30% chance of rain, we decided to head on to Yangmingshan National Park ((陽明山國家公園) which is famous for its cherry blossoms, hot springs and hiking trails.

Sad to say, the weather forecast was very accurate and it started to drizzle when we arrived. We decided to take shelter and had lunch at the cafeteria.

We heard that there is a place we should check out, a flat grassland called Cingtiangang (擎天崗), so after the not so yummy lunch, we moved on as it continued to rain outside.

Exiting the carpark, we saw a beautiful rainbow! Seems like rainbows are a common sight in Taipei!

The rain got heavier as we drove on, it became really foggy and visibility was really bad, so we decided that it was safer to head for home instead. The park is huge and there are many places we wanted to explore, so that was a huge disappointment for us. Mom was determined to find some place for me to get a good run and we ended up in Dajia Riverside Park again!

My favorite!

Yeah!

I got to say hi to many doggy friends.

And played hide and seek with Mom and Dad.

At the end of the day, we had a good time, Mom was happy and so was I!

Yangmingshan National Park, we will be back on a sunny day!

Let's Go to Dajia Riverside Park 大佳河濱公園

We have been going to this park on many weekends, it is one of my favorites. Although there is a designated dog park called Ying Feng Dog Exercising Park nearby, many dog owners prefer to bring their dogs here instead. I made many friends here, both human and furry ones. I had so much fun every time, I hope we can go again this weekend.
