My 2nd Worldwide Fido prize and Mon Ami Collar!

Yay! I have received my Worldwide Fido prize for winning the Best Friend Title for the month of October. This time, the Worldwide Fido Crown doggy bowl and the dog tag came with the words "Best Friend" on them, Of course, there is the WWF t-shirt, a lanyard strap, a WWF tennis ball and a redemption voucher for a collar at Shop Mon Ami.

Here's a shot of me and my best buddy and the awesome prizes. See how Dad is beaming with pride!

My Mon Ami collar also arrived, Mom ordered it in Lime Green and I must say it looks great on me! My Mon Ami package came with an additional goodie, a set of 6 Magnetic Picture Frames! The Mon Ami team added a nice touch by sending them together with some of my photos and we could immediately stick them to the fridge. Our fridge never looked so good! Enjoy the pictures of my new collar and the awesome magnetic frames.

Finally, a million thanks to everyone who threw bones for me to help me win and also to Worldwide Fido and Shop Mon Ami for the wonderful prizes. Big furry hugs to all of you!

Home Sweet Home!

Yay! I have arrived safely at home yesterday. Thanks to everyone for your concern, thoughts and prayers during this adventure. I am doing great at home, there are so many new sights and smells and I am having a good time exploring all the new places. I arrived at around 10am yesterday morning and Dad and Mom brought me to the Da-An Park 大安森林公園, it is the biggest green area in downtown Taipei and just 10 minutes walk away from home. It is modeled after Central Park in New York and inaugurated in 1994.

The park is huge and you can find all kinds of trees, a bamboo forest, colorful flowers, a lake, an open-air music stage and a children playground. There are also basketball courts and in line skating rinks. At any time of the day, you can find people walking, running, cycling, playing and dancing. And of course, here you can see many of our furry friends too.

After playing in the park, we went to Grandma Nitti's, a very pet friendly restaurant where breakfast is served all day long. Then, we went to a pet store to take a bath, I haven't had one for 3 weeks! The pet store has one of those dryers that look like an oven, it's nice and warm in there and I stayed in it for about 45 minutes until I am thoroughly dried.

After the bath and grooming session, we headed for home, it was a really long day for me and I slept very well on the first night at my new home. Here is a video clip of the day's event, enjoy! Woof Woof!!!

Woohoo! Going Home Tomorrow!

Yay!!! Finally, I will be going home tomorrow! It has been a really long time away from home, I am so glad it is coming to an end. Yesterday, was my 22nd month birthday, but there was no visiting appointment, so Mom only managed to take my birthday photo today.

Mom is going to be really busy today, she has to clean up and dino-proof the house to welcome me home. Dad has taken the day off tomorrow, I think they are bringing me to the park tomorrow....ooooohhhhh....I can't hide my excitement any longer.

The quarantine station is almost completing their renovation works. There is a nice poster of dogs and cats who have been in quarantine there on display in their new reception area.

These packs of Kleenex tissue papers were spotted at the convenience store, the labrador puppies on them are so cute, we have to find a way to stop mom from buying all these stuff with cute puppies on them.

A Friend in Need

Mum visited me today, we played fetch for a while and then I got bored, so mum gave me a nice relaxing massage as I gnawed on my giant bone.

As mum was leaving the hospital, she met a group of students with a golden retriever. Mum found out that the golden was found outside the university and they brought him to the vet at the animal hospital which I am in. Unfortunately, they were not allowed to have the golden checked because the hospital does not attend to strays and the dog did not have a micro chip on him.

However, they did find out that the golden is about 5 years old from the vet. It looked more like a puppy or a medium sized dog to mum because he is a lot smaller than I. The poor boy also has some skin problems and he has patches all over his body, I really hope that he is just lost and not being abandoned to the streets. We have created a page for him at my site to help him find his way home. You can see it here , please keep your fingers, toes and paws crossed that my friend finds his family soon.

I want to go Home

Just 9 more days to go, I can't wait to go home. I can't stop whining every time mum leaves after her visits. It always breaks her heart, but I really hate to be left alone.

Here is a clip of my second week in quarantine.

Mom went to the post office and spotted some golden retriever stamps at the vending machine. They came in a set of ten at 50NT per pack and mom couldn't resist them, if only it had my face on it!

Introducing Niwo 你我

Niwo lives in a seamstress shop in my neighborhood. His name is really cute, it means You and Me in Chinese. He is adorable, he trots behind his owner whenever she rides on her motorcycle. I am going to be friends with him when I get to go home. His owner says he is not very friendly, I hope he will like me and we can become good friends. Here are some photos and a short clip of my new friend, Niwo.
