Introducing my Godparents!!!

Uncle Chen, Auntie Juliet and their friend, Auntie Joanne came to visit recently and brought lots of goodies for Ashley and I. I was really thrilled to see them and we had a great time together. Ashley and I bonded so well with Uncle Chen and Auntie Juliet and they decided that they are going to be our Godparents! How cool is that!

Here is my GodPa and GodMa!!!

We went to watch the sunset at Danshui River and I received a lot of attention from so many girls along the promenade and GodPa declared that I am a real Chick Magnet!

The GodFather & I.

A photo of us with Ashley.

On one of the nights, I took them to a restaurant by the beach, it's called Villa Sugar.
Address: 台北縣三芝鄉土地公坑54-16號
Telephone:(02)2636-1585
Opening Hours: 11:00 to 24:00

Food was nothing to rave about, but we really liked the ambience and Balinese furnishings.

Bar area.

Comfy seating areas.

These round rattan chairs are nice!

Outdoor seating area.

They have a resident black dog.

Godpa gave me lots of loving pets!

Can u tell that they were smittened by me?

Auntie Joanne loves me too!

I am looking forward to January next year because Godpa and Godma are planning to visit again! Yay!

09-09-1999

10 years ago on September 9, 1999 was a special day because it was the day my parents registered their marriage.

What made it extra special is that there are five number 9s in that date and that only come once in a blue blue moon. The number 9 in Chinese is 九 and it sounds just like 久 which means "long-lasting", so I guess they picked the date so that they will be blessed with a long-lasting marriage.

M1, the telephone company even gave out a free mobile phone to every couple who got married on that day. They also got Dad and Mom to pose for a photo with the phone and their marriage certificate.

And guess what? The photo appeared in the newspapers the very next day!

They didn't make any special plans to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Mom was tired, but Dad said that they should go out and eat something nice.

So, they decided to head on to a Bavarian restaurant which is remotely located somewhere in the mountains.

Smoky Inn
Address: No 88, Balian River Valley, Bachen-zunn, Km 3.4 Road 11, Sanjhih 252, TW (台北縣三芝鄉八賢村八連溪88號)
Telephone: 02-26368299
Operating Hours: 11am to 10pm

They ordered their house specials:

Smoked pork knuckle pan

and Mixed sausage pan

And of course some traditional Bavarian Beer.

Mom was happy with her beer. It was great for washing down all that greasy food.

Pity it is not a dog friendly restaurant and I could not be there, but what better way to celebrate the special occasion with a new addition to the family: My Baby Sister, Ashley!

Happy 10th anniversary to my Daddy and Mommy!

Getting Ready for The Event of The Year

The Event of The Year is coming right up! Aunty Beh is getting married next month! Aunty Beh is Dad's sister and we are all getting very excited for her! Woohoo!

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the wedding as it is held in Singapore, but if I could, I would go to the groomer's to have my hair styled and put on a bow tie for her big day.

Ashley has tons of clothes and Mommy has none. Mom is cracking her head cause she does not have anything to wear, looks like she will have to do some last minute shopping for the big day.

Many people has been asking what Ashley will be wearing...hmmm.... she just received more pretty clothes from Aunty Juliet and Aunty Joanne when they visited last week, it's really hard to decide. Maybe she will wear the dress that Dad's colleagues got for her. A Baby Dior dress!!!

Here's the packaging.

Can we see the dress already?

Taa Daa!!! Ashley is a Dior Baby! She has so little hair, I think she needs a Dior hat to go with the dress. Oh and how about a pair of Dior shoes too? Hee hee!

Big thank you to Daddy's colleagues for the lovely dress! I think it's great for the wedding!

I Miss Grandma

Grandma went back to Singapore on Saturday after spending two months with us in Taipei.

After packing her luggage, she sat down to put on her shoes, I quickly sat very close to her cause I know she was going to leave us and that made her cry.

One last scratchie before she leaves.

I can't tell you how sad I am feeling.

This squeaky pig was a present from Grandma, I will always think of her when I play with it.

Grandma, thank you so much for taking such good care of me, Mommy, Daddy and Ashley while you were here. We miss you already and please don't take too long to visit us again! We love you!!!

Happy Papa's Day!!!

Today is August 8 and it is Father's Day in Taiwan. It is not a public holiday, but it is widely observed here at this time of the year. In Mandarin Chinese, the pronunciation of the number 8 is bā. This pronunciation is very similar to the character "爸" "bà", which means "Papa" or "Father". The Taiwanese, therefore, usually refer August 8 as "Bābā Day" (爸爸節).

By the way, we were hit by Typhoon Morakot and have been cooped up at home for the last two days. The weather has cleared up today and it looks like a perfect day to celebrate Father's Day.

Here's wishing all Papas out there a Happy Father's Day from us in Taipei!

Look who came to visit!

Grandaunt Teresa, Lil' Pups Bernie (my girlfriend!) and Grandma!!! The last time Grandaunt Teresa and Bernie visited was when I was still living in Shanghai. I was so happy to see them again!

One of the best things about having visitors is the presents they bring! Look at all the treats from Bernie!

I have not had these mini bones for ages!

Yummy heart-shaped biscuits!

A poster from Grandaunt Teresa and family.

These are some great words of wisdom from a dog!

Can you tell that I am really happy?

An awesome pic with my girlfriend, Bernie!

Aunty Sherrine came too!

She brought me a cute doggy figurine.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful presents! I missed you all already! Please visit again soon!
