Ashley's Eighth Month Medical Checkup and Vaccination

And now, I am back to report on Ashley's latest hospital trip, just 10 days ago. She is losing her babyness already, looking more like a toddler than a baby these days.

At 8 months, she is weighing 9.1kg/20lbs, heavier by 1.1kg/2.4lbs as compared to 2 months ago.

She has grew longer by 2.5cm/1in and is now 70cm/27.6in tall.

Her head circumference is now 48cm/18.9in and that is a growth of 5cm/2in! Whoa!!!

I am happy to report that she did great for all the other checks too!

Finally, here is the video of the Godzilla Gal's latest vaccination. Her lungs are definitely getting more powerful!



Her next checkup will be in four months time when she turns One. After the trip to the hospital, Mom brought her to the photo studio to get her ID photo taken.

My goodness!!! Look at that! I can't believe my baby sister is growing up so fast!

Ashley's Sixth Month Medical Checkup and Vaccination

Oops!!! Ms Ashley has turned 8 months old 2 weeks ago and I realized I have not posted about her sixth month trip to the hospital. That's two months late! Anyhow, I better give an update on that now before I lose track.

She tipped the scales at 8kg/17.6lbs, 0.8kg/1.8lbs heavier than her 4th month weight.

She has grown taller by 4cm/1.6in and measured 67.5cm/26.6in in height.

Her head circumference was 43cm/16.9in, 1.5cm/0.6in bigger than her last check at 4 months old.

She did well for all the other checks.

Meet Wannie from Texas!

Earlier this month, I got an email from Wannie in Texas telling me that she is coming to Taipei to visit her grandparents. Wannie has been following my blog for many years now and she was wondering if she could meet up with me during her trip. Of course I was more than happy to meet her!

We had to take many photos to commemorate this special meeting!

She even got the Frog from The Princess and the Frog for Ashley! Ashley was very happy with her Prince Charming.

We had a lovely afternoon together.

Wannie, it was really wonderful to finally meet you and it was great getting to know you too! Thank you so much for the nice presents you got for us! I hope you will be able to visit us again soon.

Many Little Cakes

Someone was completely overwhelmed with guilt and decided that I should finally have my cake! She spent the whole morning baking many little cakes to make up for it.

Who are you kidding? Those are banana muffins! She said that those are not ordinary muffins, they are Nigella Lawson's Muffins!!! She modified the recipe a little, reducing the sugar and skipping the butterscotch to make it a little more healthy for me.

And Tadaa!!! She managed to turn out 12 perfect little Banana Muffins for my birthday cake!

I invited some of my little friends to celebrate with me.

They are Emilia, Lammie, Pinkie, Baby Pooh, Puppy and Ashley.

It was great fun and we all had a good time.

Where is the cake?

Mom said that she was going to bake me a birthday cake, but I turned 4 years and 1 month old three days ago and there was no cake in sight! She has been saying that she will bake one for me for the past four years!!! Sigh....

Anyway, I can't believe that I am four already! A lot has changed over the last one year. The most eventful must be the arrival of my baby sister, Ashley. Now, I have to share my parents' affection and attention with her. I don't really mind because I know that she will love me and shower me with lots of attention as she gets older.

I also took a break from my Dr. Dog duties and I miss my colleagues and friends at the hospital very much. I hope Dad and Mom will find some time to take me for the test to renew my license so that I can be back in service soon.

Look at what I got for my birthday! Presents from Mom, Auntie Beh and my friends, Augie and Ti!!! 

 

Augie and Ti picked a Dalmatian stuffie and a bandana for me and look at that birthday card! That was really sweet of them! Big thank you to you two for your nice presents!!!

Happy Year of The Tiger!!!

 

Hello Friends!!! Apologies for disappearing for the whole month of February! I can't believe it is March already! Dad, Mom and Ashley were back in Singapore for the Chinese New Year holidays and I went for boarding for two weeks and ended up with a horrible hot spot on my forehead right below my birthmark! So, the dreaded cone is back. To make things worse, I threw up five times when I got back. Anyhow, the vomiting has stopped and the hot spot is healing nicely. Phew...

 

Mom is super upset because she reformatted her old laptop without making a backup of my mails and they are all now gone with the wind! All the emails that I have received from my friends all over the world for the past few years have all vanished and I have lost all their email addresses too! If you are reading this now, please send me a mail at dino@lovedino.com so that I can continue to keep in touch with you. I am terribly sorry to for not being able to answer some of your mails as a result. I am still thinking if I should forgive Mom for her grave mistake.
