Last Saturday must have been my happiest day since my arrival in Hong Kong. I have been looking at horses galloping everyday because we live very near the racecourse, then we heard there is a park nearby and decided to check it out. What a gem!!!
The beautifully landscaped Penfold Park (彭福公園) is managed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and it covers an area of over 20 acres. The park is located right in the middle of the Shatin Racecourse and it is closed on Mondays and race days.
Penfold Park was a venue for equestrian events during the 2008 Summer Olympics which was held in Beijing. The park is also a popular place for bird watching and it is nice walking among the colorfully painted horse statues.
I hope I get to go there every weekend. Happy Weekend everyone!!!

What a beautiful park! I wish I could have read each of the little signs in front of the horses. The best part was seeing Dino without the muzzle!

How fabulous! Dino looks SO happy! Pure doggy joy :)
Nice video i liked the park is very beautiful and is decorated with horse, Olympic rings, good plants...etc
Last but least your lovely dog is central of attraction here.
Glad you found someplace there to make you feel at home. We hope you get to go there as often as possible.
Oh, what a beautiful park, Dino! And how lucky that they let doggies run free there. My humans are always sad that so many beautiful parks and beaches and places in Australia don't allow doggies. Hsin-Yi LOVED all the horse statues! And I loved seeing one of your "special Dino movies" again - you haven't done one in ages!
Slobbers,
