First Pool Trip in Hong Kong!

It has been almost a year since I last went to the pool! Remember all my wonderful swimming holidays when I was in Taiwan? How I missed getting wet!

I was delighted when I got invited to Fa Fa Family's Poolside Birthday Party. It was held yesterday at Pets Park (大埔寵物寶寶娛樂城), the pool is not as big as the ones I have been to in Taiwan, but well at least I did get to have some fun in the water and some very yummy birthday treats. Happy Days!!!

Ahhhh.... It's finally September! That means cooler weather is approaching! I had the most horrendous summer this year! A bad bout of hot spots that wouldn't heal and three visits to the vet in a month! I can now finally report that I have fully recovered. I have been wearing the stupid cone for the longest time and I am glad it is finally over! Phew!

Last month, I made a few trips to Penfold Park to admire some flowers and to relieve some stress.

I must say Penfold Park is really quite pretty in summer, the flowers are in full bloom and you can even get to do some bird watching.

It was the summer school holidays and I also had the pleasure of the company of LY and Zoe. They are so fun to hang out with!

I hope they will take some time out of their busy school schedule to join me on my future Penfold Park trips .

I will be attending a poolside birthday party in two weeks. I have not swam since I arrived in Hong Kong and I must tell you....I can hardly contain my excitement!

Whoa! My Sister turned Two!!!

I can't believe it! Ashley turned two years old last month! She was just a tiny baby not too long ago! Now, she can say many things, including "Good Morning, Dino", "Excuse me, Dino" and "Quiet, Dino!".

We did not have a big celebration this year because we have all been sick. (I have been wearing the dreaded cone for a month! More about that in my next post!) Last month was rough, Ashley was hospitalized for high fever and when she recovered Mom got tonsilitis and then poor Dad got her germs too! When everyone got better, Ashley fell sick again and had to visit the doctor twice in a week. She ended up having conjunctivitis on her birthday, so it wasn't very pretty.

Anyhow, our two Grandmas came over to Hong Kong to celebrate her birthday and we had a nice mini party at home. A very big thank you to everyone for the wonderful presents, cards and birthday wishes! Here's her birthday video to share:

What does Summer means?

Summer has not officially started and it's hot hot hot here in Hong Kong!!! It's about 32°C/90°F during the day and I am suffering! For me, summer means hot spots are here to stay.

I have been battling a severe case of hot spots since last month and Mom had to bring me to the groomer's for my early summer cut again! Here's one last photo before I said goodbye to all my glorious hair!

And now, I have transformed into a lion again!!!

No, I am a Friendly Lion.

My First Ever Birthday Cake!!!

I turned five years old two months ago in February. As usual, I spent the day at boarding because Dad, Mom and Ashley had to spend Chinese New Year with their family in Singapore. This time, I spent my birthday at DB Dog Dayz. The owner of the DB Dog Dayz sent Mom some photos on my birthday, you can see me busy making new friends.

When I returned from boarding, I was thrilled to see a package waiting for me! It was from Augie and Ti!!!! A stuffed bunny and a cute sweet pea baby for my sister, Ashley!!! Valentine's Day was around the corner and they sent me a big red heart and cute little Valentine cards too! Thank you guys for your wonderful presents!!!

Another package arrived! Lamb, carrots, apples and treats from Auntie Felicia! I had birthday feasts four times in total with all that food! Thank you very much, Auntie Feli for all the yummy goodies!

Augie and Ti asked me "Where's the cake?". Sadly, I never had a birthday cake for my past birthdays, the closest to it was the "Little Cakes" that Mom baked for my fourth birthday.

So for my fifth birthday, it was decided that I should finally have a real birthday cake! We asked our pals, Augie and Ti for a recipe and they happily shared with us here: Let's make doggy cakes!

Big thank you to Auntie Ellen for baking the cake for me. I am happy to report that it turned out perfect! Thank you so much Augie and Ti for the fail proof recipe!!! It is super yummy and I enjoyed it very much!

Grandma Connie came to visit and so all of us went to Penfold Park for a belated celebration.
