During the New Year Holidays in January (please excuse the very late report, hee hee), we made a road trip to Miaoli with Howler and his family. I have been there before and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to show Howler around this fabulous place.
It was about one and a half hour's drive from Taipei city and we stopped halfway at a service center to grab a quick lunch.
The sun was almost setting when we reached Miaoli and we made a quick visit to The Flying Cow Ranch.
We stayed at the Jian Min Farm again and the humans enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the restaurant.
It was the start of the strawberry season and we woke up early the next day to visit Da Hu, a place where the climate is perfect for growing strawberries.
Whoa! Tons of sweet strawberries!
Picking strawberries was really fun and we went home with a box of freshly picked strawberries each.
This place is great for strawberry lovers, you get to eat strawberry meatballs, sausages, cakes, ice-cream and everything strawberry!
The strawberry meat ball was a little strange, so we settled for some waffles and cakes for tea.
Howler was a great buddy on this trip and we had so much fun together. We wanted to go swimming in the afternoon, but it started to rain, so we decided to head home after lunch.

Dino you are the most travelled dog on the earth. You must have been in heaven. So much fun. Taiwan is very dog hospitable.

Oh Dino - you always go to such great places!! My human says you could write a doggie guidebook to Taiwan!! (I'm still so gutted that I never got to come and live there and go places with you!)

Taiwan seems so much more dog-friendly - you seem to be able to go to so many places with your humans! I also went on my first ever holiday this Easter weekend but in NZ, so many places ban dogs so it was really difficult to find places that I could go along and see the attractions too, other than parks...so unfair!
I loved the part in the video where you and Howler were running down the stairs...and it's great watching you two play together!
